November 2018 California Wildfires

On November 8, 2018, the Camp Fire erupted 90 miles (140 kilometers) north of Sacramento, California. As of 10 a.m. Pacific Standard Time on November 9, the fire had consumed 70,000 acres of land and was five percent contained, or surrounded by a barrier.The Camp Fire, which is the most destructive fire in state history and the third deadliest has killed at least 23 people and left 110 missing in Northern California. At least two more people died in Southern California's Woolsey fire. Hundreds of thousands of residents have been displaced, and thousands of homes and structures have been destroyed.
