Video Description: 

This video discusses drought maps and explains the severity categories used on such maps, as well as explaining mathematically the way drought statistics are reported (i.e. 100-year drought). In addition, the video explains how drought impacts may manifest differently in varying locations and how individual factors may vary within a region, using examples for both. It also discusses the data used to assess drought, and the convergence of evidence needed to classify drought.
