"Hello! My name is Beth Williams and I am a Science Lab Specialist in the district of Ansonia, CT. This is my 11th year of teaching and my 2nd year in the Science Lab. I teach every student in the building, grades K-6. I see each class 5 days in a row on a rotational basis. I absolutely LOVE my job! I am passionate about our planet and enjoy sharing that enthusiasm with students. I collaborate with Food Corps, the Ansonia Nature Center, and a local farm for my lessons. We have created a raised bed garden and are working on a pollinator garden also. Precipitation is very important for all of us to understand and I’m thrilled to be part of this program. I hope to learn ways to share this information with all of my grade levels so they can be little “ambassadors of change” for their families and neighbors."
