2015 Master Teachers: Parul Inamder
"Hi, my name is Parul and I live in East London with my husband and son.
I feel extremely excited, privileged and am simply over the moon at the unique chance to be on the GPM MT Program.
Throughout my schooling I was involved in a project on ‘Soil’ which got me to fall in love with learning about the planet; so much so that my son has chosen to study Geology and the subject fascinates me as my discovery continues.
That there are a few building blocks of everything around us and we now have access to technology to explore and develop even a greater understanding of fundamental rules of the nature - is just fascinating. Interplay and unfolding of science and technology is just awe-inspiring.
Having worked in IT for over 15 years, few years ago I returned to the University to obtain teaching qualifications as a Secondary Science Teacher. This is where I have always wanted to be!
By being on GPM MT program, I will be answering some of the questions I have and hope to transfer the enthusiasm of life-long learning! I am looking to develop schemes of work which involve Science Inquiry and project-based learning and address some of the demands of National Curriculum. I hope to extend my study of public understanding of Science by increased engagement of parents and wider community.
I look forward to adding a new dimension to teaching and learning by creating opportunities which will only have positive effect as my learners develop a love for learning process and its relevance."
